I passed!!!!!!!!!!!!! biggrin.gif
Ive just found out that I passed my grade 4 violin exam with 118 two marks under a merit. Not bad considering a month before hand I broke my left thumb so I couldnt really play and got it taken out of plaster the week before the exam eh?
The thing is the only thing I got maked down on was tuning and the examiner said I needed to grasp the basics because I was so nervous that my bow was literally bouncing on the string!!! My teacher says the tuning was criticized so much because he didnt play the violin. I know and she has told me (she accompanies me) that it wasnt that far out at all. It was v close nearly all the time. This happened in my last exam to. Has it happened to anyone else? (The tuning bit not my stupid bow bouncing coz i was so flippin nervous! Grr I hate myself for that!!)

Thanx

You almost got a merit for it!! Well done.

Well done!

My tuning has been commented on sometimes. It's hard to stay precisely in tune all the way through when you're nervous!

i did gigue, la cinquantaine and moderato amati. My fave was La cinquanaine and moderato was nice but I found it really hard to play with the piano part because its so off putting.
Good Luck
