Hi. I am planning to sit for grade 4 theory and practise violin in the autumn/ winter term. A friend of mine just sat for gr 7 theory and he said that the whole layout of questions etc had totally changed. Can anybody give me an idea whether that is the same for the lower grades, e.g grade 4? I am always preparing on the past exams sheets. I am 11 and to be honest it would be a shock to find the layout totally changed, so I would rather be prepared to that before. Can anybody give me some hints how to better prepare for the aural exams? My aural is never very good!

Grades 6 -8 theory changed format much more recently than the lower grades (1999 for the higher grades - earlier grades were changed around 1995 I think) .
Best thing to do is get past papers for the last couple of years to go through.
