I've just been given a 2nd flute part to this, for playing in the concert in 3 & half weeks. It's a fairly sparse part, and I don't know the melody, so tried surfing for a version I can listen to just to figure where my part fits in. I've had no luck at all.

Anyone have a link to a version I can simply listen to?

This is a bit of long shot, but I think that was the music for the Jonathan Creek series. (Anyone confirm that??) if by any chance you watched it and it rings a bell ... not much but it might be a start.

If you look at www.organfax.co.uk find the MIDI Sources entry from the directory on the left hand side of the home page

Click in then and then look for entry George Pollen

You will find Danse Macabre listed there to listen to or download as a midi file. Not sure what the quality is, but worth a try
