Full Version: Mozart Flute Concerto No 1 In G
Does any one know who (if anyone) this was written for? Please Help!
It was written in 1778 on a commisssion.
A Dutch flautist named DeJean (alternative spellings are available 
). He commissioned Mozart to write three flute concertos, but ended up with one original concerto (G major), one transposed oboe concerto (D major) and the Andante in C. He withheld part of the fee in protest (and who can blame him?).

Nice movement! Quite hard though I did it for my grade 8 too. I'm anyalising the first movement for an essay!
