Can someone please enlighten me on the pass marks eg. pass, merit... for practical exams.

Im doing my grade 5 violin on the 23rd of November

Practical exams are marked out of 150.

100 is a pass, 120-129 is merit, 130+ is distinction

If you're talking about AB exams: 100 to pass, 120 for a Merit and 130 for a Distinction

Im doing violin and would really like to get distinction, im sure my pieces and scales should be fine but would you say it is very hard to get a distinction? I know its a very broad question! hehe

well my exam went ok , (it was my first exam), i feel my pieces and scales went fine but my sight reading and aural just flopped i think. Im really worried that ive not passed.
