Hi, I need a new case and I like the look and price range of the Bam classic or the Bam artisto. Just wondered if anyone had this case and what their opinions are regarding strnght protection durability value for money etc etc. Or can any one recommend anything else around that sort of price range

I am very happy with my Hiscox cello case
http://www.hiscoxcases.com/ . Not really sure what you'd have to pay though; your luthier can probably do a deal for you.

BAM have a good reputation for quality and cases that are built to withstand the rigours of transporting instruments - without bulkiness or weight.
I've got a BAM double violin case that I use occasionally and have been very happy with it. It's lightweight, but doesn't compromise on the protection it offers to the instruments. Their cases might not have all the frills that some have, but for a good basic case that does exactly what it says on the box and isn't costing a small fortune either, they take some beating.
