When Veng. said about the piece he played when he was 8 I thought it was going to be a relatively simple piece...but it sounded SO complicated! Was very impressed, loved the Meditation from Thais.

That was Bazzini's "La Ronde des Lutins" or roughly translated Goblin's Dance. It is sort of his party piece, and he has often played it as an encore. Scarily tricky especially the left hand pizzicato.

And he was playing that at 8...wow!

He played the Bazzini at EIGHT???

Yup!! Makes you sick huh!

But then when asked how he learned to play the violin he just doesn't remember..."How did you learn to breath" it is THAT natural.

And he's such a nice guy too. *sigh* Sickening, and I can't even bring myself to dislike him for being so talented
