I saw bits of it tonight.

Mum and I liked Nikita (in Simon's group) the best out of the ones we saw: she appears to have some voice, doesn't wobble her head around to get vibrato unlike some and sang like she meant it.

It all goes downhill after the auditions though, less comic value...

Of the finalists, yes, I think Nikita is good, I also like Dionne and the Unconventionals, the rest I can take or leave......

Ugh it's this time of year AGAIN

Should they not have ended the x-factor after last year, it's getting quite boring in my opinion.

It would be okay if only the people who could sing auditioned.. Mom can't tell the difference and inflicts it on Dad and me.

Apparently there is a filtering - only the very best and very worst go through to the auditions.

Yes, my friend auditioned for X Factor as a joke...and she sings in a choir and things, so can sing in tune and has quite a nice voice, but won't be the next big thing. Apparently, before the audition where you see Simon Cowell etc, scouts for the show give people a mini audition so only the best/worst go through.

Makes sense...


Makes for "good television" (ie. awful television) to boost the viewing rates...

Then people wonder why I rarely watch TV, apart from the fact I'm usually here

My tv is always left on in the background, I dont like the sense of emptiness so it's on, what a waste of electricity I know, though when it isnt on i feel quite edgy

No!!!! Me and my friend should be auditioning next year. I'm not as bothered as her about it because i'm happy doing what i'm doing anyway (I won't be telling them that though!), but it'll be interesting to hear what they have to say because both of us are trained singers and know what we're doing so if they say we can't sing, well we know we can

, you will have to inform me about what they say, because I've also wondered what they would say to trained singers

Don't worry, if we actually get an audition EVERYONE will know about it

I think Kerry and Nikita (? from simon's group) were really good. There was also one of the guys in Sharon's group I thought was good (forgotten which one... :s). None of the others really stood out that much.

2 - One of the judges gets 'panto villain' booing for their comments - drink for duration of the booing

3 - Shot of family member wearing t-shirt with contestant's face cheaply printed on it - one finger

4 - Louis mispronounces 'Saturday' as 'Sarr-day' - finish drink

5 - A contestant says, "It's been an incredible journey" - switch drinks

6 - Any of the judges tells an act, "You made the song your own" - three fingers

7 - Louis says, "I love you, the audience love you, and the public will love you as well" - finish your drink

8 - A performer cries - empty your glass

9 - Louis praises an obviously ****-poor performance by one of his acts - empty your glass

10 - Sharon makes a lecherous remark about any male performer - empty your glass, fill it up and empty it again, crying hot, salty tears.
