I really don't like Chico...I think he is too arrogant..for what little vocal talent he has....entertaining maybe but he's not one of the best there

Yes I like the X factor. I really like Andy, Maria and Journey South. I think there is a lot more talent this year and I can imagine a few of them getting record deals at the end of it. I think Chico has lost some of his arrogance now and has improved a lot - no doubt he will have a lot of success on the television after the show because of his personality and entertainment value, but not sure if this will transfer to record sales.
I was sorry too that Gareth Gates couldn't cope with the fame and 'celebrity trappings' because I liked his voice. Maybe he can come back in the future, a few years older and wiser and make a career out of it.

I do not watch it and I don't care who wins because their career is going to go down the toilet anyway.
They need to work hard for it. They are taking the easy way.
Hardly the easy way out.
Some of the acts have worked for years on the club circuit which is not easy.
There are a few who have it easy but not many...

glad Chenai went out, she has a lot to learn. Especially her row with Brenda and Maria this week. over what Simon said about them having better voices than her. He is right again!! Love Simon by the way, is always very honest, but talks a lot of sense. She did herself no favours going on about it and causing an argument with the other girls She is young, but she needs to learn when to keep your mouth shut, and let something go. She would have been respected more, and would have left the competition gracefully and not on a bad note. She would have never won anyway, so its only a matter of time before she went. After all there can only be one winner!!
Think Andy, Maria or Shayne will win.
Think conway sisters will go this week, followed by Chico.
Chico cant sing for toffee, but has more entertainment value than anyone else!! he could go on to win, what a revelation that would be!!!
Love the Journey South boys, Andy, Maria and Brenda.

Totally agree.
Chenai could not take the pressure and is such a 'wannabee.' You are either born with a fantastic voice or you are not. She obviously has had a good singing coach because she can now sing in tune most of the time... but the difference between Maria's effortless and natural performance and her 'frightened rabbit' singing act is huge.
Loved Journey South on Saturday...such talented musicians...hope they win

OK: awful, horrible, terrible, rubbish, unattractive, untalented, does not have a nice tone to his voice, does not sing in tune, fancies the pants off himself, thinks he's God's gift, is an arrogant little wotsit, is truly and horredously BAD.

I hate to disappoint you all, but just been on the official X factor forum, and Chico has a huge following on there!!
It is becoming a real possibility, he COULD WIN!!!!! No, I hear you all say, but his fans are increasing by the day!!
Every one loves the underdog!! Even Simon and Louis are warming to him.
No, he does not have any singing talent, BUT he is a great entertainer, and is far more entertaining than watching some of the other acts, who are less interesting than watching paint dry. He does not have a recording voice at all, but put him on a stage, and he has everyones attention, whether in a good or bad way.

I saw some of the auditions and it was beyond belief how some of those characters actually thought they could sing/perform. Some of them stood there like zombies and had the charisma of a breeze block and were devastated when told they were c rap. I know Simon has all the subtlety of a poke in the eye with a sharp stick but I'm in favour of giving people the truth and they should know what he's like by now.
A pop idol? Wait, maybe they thought it was 'idle'

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find listening to someone *that* appalling entertaining however much he jumps around the stage or fancies himself.
To me "entertainment value" is something added on to basic talent, rather than something that's OK instead of talent.
Look at Robbie Williams for instance, I've seen him sing in televised concerts and on shows (my mum is a huge fan!) and the man is a born entertainer, but he has a decent voice and some songwriting talent to back it up.
I don't find that "being a good entertainer" is enough; if someone is being a compere or comedy act that's one thing, but hey, he's fighting to win a recording contract... having a voice would be a bit of a bonus there!

I agree here. I used to like Shayne and thought he was a real favourite to win, but he has got boring now. This is where having to perform week after week really sorts them out. Journey South are really good.
