Just passed my DipABRSM with 60. Wonder if I can do LRSM next year. So here's a poll !

Well, I can't vote in this one, but I am planning to take my LTCL at Easter, which will be 15 months after my ATCL.

how is this possible ? when u got your Dip results, the registration for LRSM must have closed, isn't it ? And how many months did u practise for your LRSM pieces ?

Registration for the Winter session closed at the end Sept.. the results turned up mid-Sept I think. At the time I was in touch with the ABRSM and they said it would be possible to accept a late entry for LRSM if it was caused by the tardy arrival of the Dip results....

I started learning the pieces in August I think on and off. I knew bits of the recital already to a certain extent.. a matter of learning the rest and then polishing it up. The point was I'd already been playing for 20 years so was probably already notionally at LRSM level.. My experience was therefore -- judging by the contributions of many on the forum -- pretty atypical.
