biggrin.gif Hello biggrin.gif
I carry my music around in a leather lap top case and I left this on the passenger seat of my car with my mobile on the centre console. I always hide them away but I was in a rush.I was only away from my car 30mins and someone had smashed my passenger window and also stuck a knife in one tyre and scarpered. I had around £100 worth of music in the bag including four new books I had been bought for my birthday the day before. It's a good job I didn't catch them doing this or I would probably be in prison now. No doubt I will be sued by someone now for not having a lap-top in my leather case. They would probably win the case and be awarded damages for now having depression for the trauma caused by only finding music in the bag. My total cost for repair side window ....new tyre and loss of music and bag is about £300.
A costly lesson.....what sort of world do we live in....this sort of thing is happening more and more...
Anyway if this just reminds one more person to keep things out of sight (including me) then it was worth the time typing this post.

Really sorry to hear this.Awful experience for you.

Have you looked around the surrounding streets or anything. They might have just thrown the bag with the contents intact when they realised it wasn't what they were looking for and if you keep enquiring at the local cop shop, someone might just hand it in. You never know.

Fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to hear about this Mike. What an awful thing to happen. Semele's right! The chances are the idiots who did this threw the case away when they found it contained music books and no laptop! I can't see Gershwin being much use to them, somehow.

PS - Hope you got my email!

Sorry to hear that Mike. I would hate it if some of my music was lost.

So sorry to hear of this happening Mike.

If you have a local second-hand book or music shop it might be worth handing them list in case any of it's passed on (or keep your eyes open at the next car-boot sale ). And yes, I'd certainly let the police know.
