I was just wondering, which form of music you would prefer to play on your intrument? Pop music or the traditional classical?

If you chose other please state what it is

i like listening to pop music but i prefer playing classical

I love playing classical music violin and piano but I listen to both.

Hi! I put a discussion on the attitudes to classical music on a forum, some quite interesting views (try doing a search- i think it was called classical/pop music any views but it was a while back)
I like both, but it really depends what mood i'm in.
I really like playing jazz on my sax, classical on piano, and pop on my elec. guitar! (not that their is much classical repetoire for elec. guitar!)

I like to play pop music but mostly i play film scores i do like to play some classicals but i find the hard thay are the worse thay sound so i only play them if i have to for exam`s ect

same here. Like pop music and classical, but above all, prefer playing Romantic

I like playing pop music as a light relief from classical, but I find the note patterns and stuff can be a bit repetative and unchallenging. I mean half the joy of classical is knowing that after all the (months) of work I seem to put in, it comes out really well. Pop isn't quite so satisfying somehow...

I like playing baroque on sax, and more modern stuff (but not necc pop) on piano!

i prefer playing classical/romantic on the piano, baroque/classical/jazz on the flute and pop on the guitar. i do play jazz piano though, very badly! i prefer listening to pop cos i find anything without lyrics boring to listen to!

i like 2 play rock n such like, but my main instrument is the drums so ther isnt really much of an opening for classical playing.

i'd prefer classical music to pop music personally..
