Anyone using Alan Bullard 50 for flute?

Wondered what the opinion is for the study in the Grade 2 syllabus ( n.26 Playful Flute), as this has an optional suggestion of swing?

Is is safer to play straight for the exam or entirely performer's choice?

Do you mean Grade 4? I have used this study and we did swing it. But I'm sure an examiner would accept it either way.

It can be done either way. I've had students play it in exams swung and straight. Depends oin what the pupil feels most comfortable with
