Hi guys! I hope you're feeling better after imitating Van Gogh's THE SCREAM.

Anyway gargling with warm salt water might soothe that throat a bit, noodle! Glad to see you're online right now!

I might try that later. Thanks Helen! I tried them first and they didn't work. I got a nice green yucky throat spray from the chemist yesterday. It's horrible.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!1!!&^^%%$^&*%$!!!!
My boyfriend LB ordered a new camcorder. It was supposed to have turned up by courier 2 weeks ago. It didn't. He called the company; they said they'd have it redelivered on Friday. It didn't turn up.
I called the courier (Lynx) and they said they'd redeliver it yesterday. LB waited in all day for it. It didn't turn up.
I called Lynx again. A bloke told me it would be sent "by 10.30" today. LB waited in for it. It didn't turn up. He went to work in a spitting rage.
I called Lynx again. I was told that it hadn't been sent out because "the packaging had been damaged and they had to reseal it". I told them to get it to me asap.
The package just turned up, at 2.35pm. It was sealed in a big plastic bag. As well as signing my name on the courier's form, I also wrote "The packaging has been damaged and it's possible that there are items missing but I havent checked as yet", just to cover my back cos I do not trust the couriers.
Too right. I just opened the sealed bag, to find that the camcorder box had been ripped open and the camcorder had been stolen. The manuals and leads had been replaced on top as though it should still be there, but the computer software CD has gone too.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Thankfully I have been on to Lynx head office and they are making immediate enquiries into where it's gone. If they haven't found it by this time tomorrow, LB will get full compensation. God I am so angry though - I know it happens all the time, but it makes me mad that someone can just steal stuff like this!!!

Good grief. And I thought my issues with the postal service were bad.
2 weeks ago I was waiting for something to arrive from the Leukemia foundation. They sent it out, and 3 days later I had a card come through the door saying there is a parcel waiting for me (while I was home, is the irrating thing. But did parcel force knock the door? Noooooo). So, the next day my sister and I toddled off to the sorting office for it, and they
couldn't find it. Sibling was totally stressing because it was urgent, they said they would deliver it to a nearer post office the following day for us to collect; so we arranged for it to be delivered to the one near siblings place of work. Did it turn up? No it didn't.

So we went back to the sorting office, and it wasn't there either. So the following day it is finally delivered, 5 days late, OPEN (the plastic seals at the side were broken), and dented.

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH! I had a really bad viola lesson today..... I played worse than I have for months (due to tiredness, injuries and general not-being-with-it-ness) and felt so bad. Luckily my teacher was nice and just told me to get an early night.

Ugh, do you live in East London by any chance Helen? I never usually have parcels delivered to me here at home because the postmen never bother to carry the parcels around with them - you can be waiting in for a parcel to arrive and all you'll get is a card through the door claiming that "they tried to deliver a parcel but you were out", and making you go to the sorting office to pick it up yourself in person. I've had plenty of parcels go missing there too

I either work from home or hotdesk from different sites belonging to my company, so now I usually have my parcels delivered to my boyfriend's work instead.

Normally our neighbours end up with our parcels! Not sure whether this is deliberate (ie someone in my family asked them to be left there) or accidental (the postman is confused)!

I don't know what the post office is coming to either. Our Postman can't READ. HE puts our mail in a neighbours letterbox and her mail in ours. I wouldn't mind so much, but the number on our door is 15 cms tall! If it says 'Please do not bend' - he does, he jsut shoves it through! grrrrrrr!

We have a good one - there's no number 121 on our street - have no idea why not but it jumps from 119 to 123. (I only know because I get post through my door for 121 and when I go looking, it's not there!!! I guess there must have been 2 cottages or something similar, demolished and just 1 built in their place, but it's only a theory as the houses are ancient along here!)
