Well... everything's relative I suppose, but it doesn't really make you feel better when you've failed an exam or whatever to hear that people in Africa are starving so you should stop whinging... If you're sad, you're sad, and you may not be devastated, or feel like life is over, but you're still in need of some comfort. *hugs*

Just when I thought that Americans were nice people I come accross one that shatters the illusion!

Hubby tried to "short her". Honestly its enough of a scrummage with Ryan air with out a perfectly fit healthy woman reserving 4 seats in the waiting area for her children. Therer were children sitting on the floor elsewhere, and all we did was ask her to move a bag so I could sit down. She had no understanding that if I sat elsewhere in Jerez airport then when it came to board we woul loose our place in the queue. And she was under some strange illusion the airport staff could have been of assistance.

Yeah right! the same airport staff who had made me take my backpack off and put it in a tray, then carry it through to the xray machine whilst trying to walk.... with a walking stick (which on that occasion I really needed as I was feeling a bit wobbly)

the exam stress has vanished, because exams ended on friday! that's why i'm on here with the ulterior motive of receiving screams rather than releasing them. only small scream is due to the fact that i have an audition for financial help for university on wednesday, and have not played for about a month. he he. eek.

I dont think any of it will be over anytime soon to be honest.

A few things going on at the moment Nicki.

can't you just decide that tonight you are going to do something relaxing, that will occupy you enough but not wear you out, and that will take your mind off things for a bit? or are you very busy? that isn't a long-term solution but sometimes you really need some time - even one evening - when you can be relaxed.

I am supposed to be going out later, but I feel so tired I dont know whether I will go to be honest.

I just need things to be ok, even if for a little while, but it wont happen, so I guess I have to get used to it.

well i hope that whatever you do tonight it helps you to feel a bit better. things will become better at some time - they have to.

I hope so, but for now I can see things will stay as they are. I have had enough of everything happening all at once. and people in my life who THINK they know something when really they dont KNOW

Pupes coming up to exams (including 2 G8 flutes), concerts to prepare for, blasted Christmas (GAH I HATE THE C WORD) arrangements to do, chasing up bad debtors.....awful situation at school (school closing at the end of the academic year and no idea if I will be able to transfer with my pupils to their new school ...)

All alone coming up to the Dreaded C word, missing Alpha Male Jazz Cat like crazy....suffering unwanted attentions from a pupe's parent....gah gah GAH...

Anyone who teaches knows just how much energy it takes to smile, smile, SMILE when inside you are on your last paws....

Poor Nicki. I suspect you're being a bit hard on yourself, though. Write the best you can, and don't worry about the quality.

It's because basically you can't really have a definite argument as it is so variable by region/class/gender. RAHHHHHHHHH.

Don't worry Nicki, I haven't written a decent essay since I left school and I've managed to scrape through 2 years at uni!! You could write about how it's difficult to argue about!! xx
