Bother, bother, bother!!!
Went to Tesco's this afternoon (warrants an aaargghh in itself IMO!) and bought, among other things, 6 bottles of wine. (No, not for a party, just so I could get the extra 5% off.

) The checkout girl offered to put them in a wine carrier for me, so I agreed.
When I got home, I unloaded the car (as you do) and brought in the wine along with other bags. We have a door from the hall into the kitchen which is see-through - 4 panes of glass separated by thinnish bits of wood - I expect you know the type. Just as I got to this door, the bottom of the wine carrier gave way and all the wine bottles fell out. Unfortunately, one of them smacked into the bottom glass pane and smashed it. Aaaaarrrggghhh!
The door is almost 30 years old, so what are the chances of being able to replace one pane of patterned glass? Probably approaching zero, so we'll have to get the whole thing reglazed. What a pain!! It's the last time I trust a cardboard wine carrier - they used to be quite sturdy, but the current model can only be described as flimsy. An expensive visit to the supermarket, I think.
At least you didn't get wine everywhere! Last christmas, we had a load of wine in the boot of the car. My mum turned a corner a bit too quick and a bottle smashed against the dog crate - the car stank of wine for weeks!
as for my scream...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH!!!
I have been given less than one day notice for an audition for an instrumental award at school, which means I have one evening to get a grade 8 piano piece up to performance standard, and until today, I hadn't played this piece for well over a year

You'd have thought the head of music might have mentioned that i could do this as one of my ensembles when I went to talk to him about it LAST WEEK, but no, he was more bothered about whether I would be able to play the triangle in the orchestra.

I think my piano teacher probably thought I was joking when I turned up to my lesson this afternoon and told her I had to have it ready for tomorrow...

Oh, and I have to sort out all my UCAS stuff because thats for tomorrow too

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGH!!!!
