My lot go in for this kind of behaviour as well.
They just
love leaving a headless present in the middle of the kitchen floor.
There are times when I

No thankfully, they were pump type shoes so you can see inside them from any angle. I was inside and looked into the conservatory and saw them and just went YUK!

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHH The car won't start! I've got to get to Sainsbury's and the post office and my sister's in Oxfordshire and back again for Choir Dinner and my flippin' car won't go!!!
The only one in walking distance (~1.5 miles) is the post office.

I've given it twenty minutes to consider its misdeeds....And then again....AND IT STILL WON'T GO!
Breakdown people will be here in another hour - if I'm lucky.

Our Christmas tree is now bare and green up to half-way, with all the tinsel and ornaments piled higgledy-piggledy on the top half.
The kittens have discovered that if they jump high enough, they can usually grab something. I found the black one wound up in gold tinsel this morning, and trying to bite anything that grabbed hold of the tinsel.
And I've got a ferocious tummy-ache.

Awwww! I hope the car starts working soon Katyjay and you feel better Andante.
I've just been roped in to play. I just rang the vicar to say thankyou for the money - and she asked about the Christingle. I said I thought I was free, and I think she has counted me in. *sigh* I don't mind I suppose............
Now got to get on with all my homework - WOO!

I'm having to play the piano for our Christingle, as our usual pianist works in a high street store and is there until 5.30 on Christmas Eve (our Christingle is at 4). Fortunately the church (and the hall next door) is packed with small children, and most of my wrong notes aren't audible.

But I'm still going to have to practise all week, and I'm only playing simplified versions.

Goodness knows what I'll be playing for Christingle. I haven't really got anything Christmassy to play. I think I'll probably do some Telemann that my accompanist gave me to sight read. I think it is in F major...not sure precisely which one but used to be on Gr. 5 list.

Dec 19 2005, 11:57 AM
I'm having to play various carols, the Christingle song to the tune of 'Morning has Broken' and 'Shine , Jesus, Shine'. Why Graham Kendrick wrote it in A major I'll never know. Everyone always misses the G# in the third line, and poor No 3 son has to play it in F# major.
Can we swap Christingles, Nicki? I'd love to play Telemann. No-one would hear it at ours, more's the pity.
nicki_flute
Dec 19 2005, 12:14 PM
Well the thing is that the vicar doesn't know I'm playing it yet. She let me do Morceau de Concours just. I don't know whether I want to play!

Sorry if i scared you oddball

i just dont like him, he was the same with the school production ,changing the directions set by the coreographer, he never leaves me be, always has to do somethign to ruin me

And i know helen, but according to him "falsetto is a dirty habit, and you need to start singing like you really should be at this age, so when your voice does break, you will be used to the clef change"
he doesn't get that i am used to treble clef for singing and bass clef for cello, im already fmiliar with bass! i hate him why wont he just leave me alone to do what i want to do!!!!!

surely there must be something i can do to make him leave me alone!!

mainly falsettoists are counter tenors (usually sing alto bits), but some can reach so high they are trebles (male sopranos basically) and i don't really get what you said but i think i do

but he has a cheek just coming in the day before the christingle and teling me to sing the furthest range possible from mine

i really don't like him

Well, to be fair, 2005 seems to have disappeared so fast I hardly noticed it. I'm soooo ready for Christmas (NOT) that 2006 is about when I'll be up to it.

My Christingle service an hour ago:
Got there, the vicar goes 'Oh, by the way X is stuck on the M1. Have you got anything else you can play?' She could have rung me when I was at home.
Decide to play the piece without the 'harpsichord' accompaniment.
The organist (there was going to be 2, him and my accompanist) was really not very competent and gave up in the middle of pieces.
One song, nobody knew how it went!

Thanks for the offer, but I think it's probably a bit extreme to travel for 30 minutes down the M3 to collect them.

We'll have to eat lemonless smoked salmon and pepperless dinner unless our local Indian grocer is open.
Shame you can't email them as an attachment.
