I wish someone would just kill me.

Poor Fiona! thereThere.gif Try to get through the next week or so somehow; it won't be long until you're at university, where things will be a lot better.

It's not uncommon for mother/daughter relationships to hit rock bottom at around this time, and it doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be at loggerheads for ever. I'm sorry that you and your mum seem to be hurting one another so badly at the moment, and hope the rest of the week passes quickly for you.

QUOTE(Alicia Ocean @ Sep 29 2009, 04:44 PM) *

I'm having a Very Bad Week. I've just found that a close relative's house has Dry Rot. - The living room floor fell in. And this is something not covered by Buildings Insurance. sad.gif

Oh dear, what a dreadful thing to happen! I hope no-one was hurt. You need to get the house surveyed by an expert asap, as there's no telling how much of the woodwork will be affected. How old is the house, and is your relative able to stay with family or friends in the meantime?

No one was hurt - it was covered with freshly layed laminate flooring which has held together and it's now a sort of square trampoline. The house is 1950s. The relative is elderly and might well refuse to move out while it's fixed.

Well, I'm apparently going swimming later. Good opportunity to see how long I can hold my breath for. I'm sure that would make my mum's day. Year, even. Get me out of everyone's hair.
I hope swimming's made you feel better, darling... thereThere.gif xxxxxx

Today I have had my youngest off sick- she's had a temperature for just over 2 days and it's getting higher and it was her birthday yesterday.
And today, my husband has been in hospital having a biopsy. I felt split in 2. Thankfully, a friend looked after my youngest.... and I went to hospital- had to come back to teach a lesson mid afternoon. Husband had GA-I have just got back and feel tired.
Tomorrow is my heaviest teaching day and I have no-one to look after my daughter.

My sleep is getting weird again. I shouldn't complain, sleeping too much is much more preferable to not sleeping enough (that makes me rather strange after a while). But 3 hours after getting up today, I ended up asleep on the sofa for 4 hours. Which is annoying as I have work set for each day, and I won't get all the work done today now, as I have orchestra later, and try to avoid working beyond 10pm...

(stops complaining about not being able to get the work done, and goes to try and get some of it done) wink.gif

I'm starting to get very confused with all the name changes recently! As the sort of person who always looks for a replacement anything identical to the thing it's replacing, you can be sure that I'm most unlikely to change mine - unless we move to another county of course!! biggrin.gif

When did Miss Ross become Celeste? wacko.gif unsure.gif
Jane S
biggrin.gif biggrin.gif But Berkshiremum sounds descriptive, mine is just my first name and initial, how boring is that? Perhaps being Aunt Jane S do you think, or are you telling me that you think that plain Jane S is right? It didn't involve much imagination on my part!!! Am now seriously thinking of having a glass of muscadet, but will that clash with s blanc thingummy? I'm in no rush biggrin.gif

I've been wanting to change it for a year now, but was always reluctant to cause any problems. Then I saw how easily 'Sandy Garrity' became Gorf and voila. I've had a bad week.... I have had children off sick all week and a husband having a general anaesthetic. Dear husband is also relocating his business to a much bigger premise- massive expansion and he has patients booked in tomorrow at the new place. It is no where near ready. He is very stressed - he also has the PCT messing him and other orthodontists around big time ! Just been to the new premises- it will be good but not tomorrow!! I have 2 very grumpy children- who I sent to school today as I help out at a toddler group other helpers had called in with sick kids- so mine had to go to school. They are now very cross with me.
I am supposed to be at cub camp but I am not as I have too many sick children. It's my eldest's house music tomorrow- I didn't get tickets as I was at cub camp- but I'm not there.... so I could have gone! I wanted to go to the Taunton play day but didn't book in as I should be at cub camp (which is in Taunton!!!)
Youngest daughter has done no practise this week due to illness- she has an audition for county youth next week. Eldest daughter has done no practise as apparently she has had no time but has watched DVD's- we fell out when I mentioned this.
and oh yes... I have lost my phone.
I feel sorry for myself.....
Rant over.... return to calm, loving, caring mum......

We have a choir at church, fully robed, 24 strong, of which 4 are Bishop's Choristers and 9 are Dean's Choristers. We practice every Friday and take things seriously. 2 of us (wife and me) are semi-professional singers. At least 11 others are well above average singers. We produce a great 4 part harmony sound.

And the vicar picks unison modern hymns!! mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

Poor Steve! It's so frustrating to be ignored like that. Could the vicar not be persuaded to choose some older hymns as well? If you don't have a music group, most modern hymns aren't very effective anyway.
