Arghhh! I have a chemistry exam tomorrow, and we'd been given practice papers to revise from by our teacher...my minimum target grade is an A* (ridiculous I know!) so I have to resit until I achieve this (I'm on an A already

) and I'd been doing really well on the papers, until I came in this morning and he said he'd given us the wrong papers

so had a mad night revising stuff I could have been revising earlier. I also came into school at 8.20am again in the hope of a singing lesson-the teacher wasn't in once again, it's GCSE and A-level recordings over the next three weeks and she hasn't been in for about six weeks! Then just to top it off, I went to my audition for the next school performance-he had split the Moonlight Sonata into the three movements and given each movement to two different people to learn, and I had learnt the first...I went in, thought it went really well, then came out to be told that I couldn't possibly be chosen as I was a)too young (he apparently changed his mind and only wanted sixth-formers) and b)I used the music! He suggested I did the flipping audition and I was never told I wasn't allowed the music, I could have done it from memory! I'm really annoyed that I've wasted all this time on music and chemistry just for it to all turn out to be wrong

Sorry to hear about all that Fran, but

I found another chemist/musician. !!

I have had a great career in the chemcal industry (studied at Nottingham Uni), but music has always been a most enjoyable hobby, being fortunate to reach Dip standard at age 16. I will be retiring next year and hope to do a lot more with music.
But my Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh this morning is a mixed feelings one. I was planning to go to Orlando for a conference in Sept, but I just heard my nephew's wedding had been fixed clashing with it !
