BBTOTW how long do you have to revise for M2?
crazy_purple_piano_freak
May 18 2007, 04:37 PM
My school don't discourage resits as such...but Cambridge do if I ever want to apply.

*hides*
The degrees thing is in my text book.

...thanks to my maths teacher who's teaching method is basically:
1. close your books
2. *copies example from book onto board*
3. Do example
4. do all exercises in chapter
...we all complained at first but it actually works. *rolls eyes*

I have just under 3 weeks, but on the week it's on I have exams every day, including 6 papers the day before...
Another reason why I have to get all As is because I had an argument with the head mistress in September, and she let me do 5 subjects because I promised her it wouldn't be too much work and that I'll be able to do well in all of them...
Also I really really hate it when I let teachers down, and they're all telling me I'm going to do well - so I won't be able to face them if I don't get all As...

May 18 2007, 04:38 PM
So - stuff Cambridge's resit policy. The liklihood is that you won't need to anyway

Because of the school, and how having wasted a pointless day in school (I posted about it a couple of pages ago, but for instance with 3 weeks until our History exam, we spent an hour lesson play games), I am now shattered and so can't be bothered to revise.

My last few days in school before study leave started were a bit like that, it was so good to finally be left to our own devices at home!
But arghhh!!! Biology exam on Monday, and there's so much to remember

May 18 2007, 05:04 PM
Oh dear! That's why I'm so thankful for study leave... Nicki would your teachers let you sit in the library and revise or something if you told them you had REALLY important work to do?
Ps Miss Ross, I'm sure your biology exam will be fine... what are you expecting to get...?
nicki_flute
May 18 2007, 05:07 PM
No...well, the WHOLE class protested at games, but he didn't really take any notice. He would have said we were revising.
And in Sociology, we were actually given work.
It just annoys me so much, and now I am tired, I am unlikely to do much revision tonight.

Well, an A would be ideal, but I'll be really pleased with a B, seeing as that's what I need to do Advanced Higher.
lucky045
May 18 2007, 05:53 PM
Well then you'll be fine! (Usually you notice if someone says they would be happy with a C they get a B or an A, if someone is reconciled to a D they get a C or B... with girls at least, stereotypical as that seems.)
Nicki-Flute give yourself a night off - you were probably learning more than you think, and the fact that you're worried about it gives me the impression that you're conscientious enough to do well anyway..
