mad.gif Have lost ###### mastercard!

Have you called them and cancelled it?
Yes, it's cancelled. Have to wait 7 - 10 days for a new one and new pin too.Won't be doing much shopping for the foreseeable future..... sad.gif

Oh dear, how annoying. Last time I lost one, I found it in the washing machine....
nicki_flute
Has Puss borrowed it?

QUOTE(noodle @ May 19 2007, 07:31 PM) *

Goodness, was it ok? This is the second card I've lost recently. My Maestro card disappeared last month. I blame chip and pin! In shops when you had to sign you were always handed your card with your receipt, now you are given a receipt and supposed to take the card yourself! grrrrr!

It might have been. But as I'd already phoned and cancelled it, it was useless....

I don't know about a bad week, I don't think I've had a really good one this year! They've not all been bad, bad and some have been worse than others but I really need a good one. The only that's come close was at Easter when we were on holiday and even then I had a virus!!!

If anyone has an excess of good luck at the moment and would like to share some then please send it along.

GRRR God... My friend just broke up with his girlfriend, I've been nice, comforting, sticking up for him, trying to be as kind as possible... she has told me she broke up with him because she just didn't fancy him, he was too needy... and suddenly he's like "She's texted me off her own back - there must be hope" I say "Don't get your hopes up" and it's "you lot are the reason we broke up, you're so negative, and you made her want to break up with me"

What the ######? I know he's upset and I should cut him some slack, but I've done nothing but be nice to him!

argh.gif argh.gif argh.gif argh.gif

For the past six weeks, I have had some hearing loss in my right ear. One GP said it was a "natural occurrence" and would right itself; GP no.2 (after 10 days of no improvement) says I have a "swollen external ear canal" and prescribed Otomise ear spray. This didn't help, and in fact caused the loss to worsen; GP no3 (after a week) says my ear "is full of wax" and needs syringing. Off I go to the nurse today...only to be told there is not a single bit of wax in the ear!!! unsure.gif unsure.gif Off she goes to get GP no.4 who confirms no wax but "some swelling". I now have Locorten Vioform ear drops to try.

Sorry to sound off like this (and I do have the utmost respect for Doctors! xx) but it's a right nuisance, and will be very uncomfortable for Leeds in a couple of weeks, if these other drops don't work.... sad.gif

Following on from this, I have just seen my GP again!!! Good news? I now have a referral letter going to an ENT Specialist...hurrah!! Bad news? I have to prepare myself for being told I am losing the hearing in my right ear...oh..er..dear...to be polite.... sad.gif

Thanks for all your kind messages..XXXXX wub.gif
Miss Ross
Just thought i'd let you know how my exam went after your good luck mesages this morning smile.gif

Basically, it was no where near as bad as i expected; the rest of my class thought it was quite a hard paper, but personally I think it was very reasonable, mainly due the fact that the bits I don't know (recombination and dihybrid crosses and viruses to be precise tongue.gif) were only in the multiple choice part biggrin.gif.

At the end you have to chose two essays from four questions, and there's usually one about viruses, but this year they were on things I knew about, like respiration and physiological homeostasis ph34r.gif .

biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

So, you could say I'm rather relieved...I'm hoping I got a B (but fingers crossed for an A smile.gif)

Thanks for all your luck - it reeeeally worked! wub.gif wub.gif sad.gif

PS - DaisyChain - hurrah! And sad.gif at the same time - Good luck smile.gif

I have now. I am completely fed up.

I've stressed myself out with work and driving test. My flute lesson is tomorrow, and due to work I haven't practiced. My pieces sound appalling - I feel like crying with frustration. Plus she's probably going to be annoyed with me, because if I have time to do a music competition, how come I can't find time to practice.

I've no idea is the answer to that...have to play the waiting game now!

3 years ??????????? unsure.gif unsure.gif wacko.gif

Thanks Nicki.
YetAnotherPianist
3 years is quite long ohmy.gif. I had to wait 8 months to see a dermatologist and felt hard done by.
Miss Ross
Yep, 3 years to see an orthodontist sad.gif Not that I wanted to go...
Actually, it was 7 - the idiotic dentist I was seeing at the time kept forgetting to put me on the list laugh.gif
nicki_flute
That's appalling!
Miss Ross
I've got an appointment next week though...not looking forward to it in the slightest!

It's pretty annoying really - by the time my treatment's finished I'll be in uni (hopefully), whereas most of my friends were all finished with it last year blink.gif

Oh well, it could be worse I suppose...smile.gif
Rainbow
Waiting list times are ridiculous, hope you get everything sorted soon Miss Ross!
maggiemay
I broke a tooth last week - I have an appointment in 5 weeks time to have it seen to.

Great, isn't it ?
AnotherPianist
The secret is to say you're in pain! Dentists seem to operate a ridiculous policy: either it's an emergency and can be done on the day, or it has to wait 2 months, nowhere inbetween rolleyes.gif. I have a sore tooth too, fortunately it only hurts for a short time when I eat or drink. I'm going for the wait 2 months option, rather than have them do a temporary job now as an emergency and have to go through going to the dentists again ohmy.gif sad.gif. Hopefully it won't start hurting all the time before then ph34r.gif.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrggggh! eek.gif

Young pupil of mine has chosen a piece for the pre-Grade 1 class of our local festival - Morningtown Ride from Abracadabra Flute. I've just found it's one of the few that doesn't have a piano accompaniment as it's a duet. sad.gif She's already sent in the entry.

Can you make an accompaniment up?

That's a thought. Can you remember which key it was in?
Miss Ross
I've got it right here now...C major
andante_in_c
If it's in C it might work. the Abracadabra one is in D major, so it would mean transposing up a tone. I'll see if I can get hold of a copy of the violin book - was it in the ABRSM exam pieces book?

If any one has an old copy of the book they might be able to lend it to you, there should be a piano part.

Edit....Should have read to the end of the thread......Goes to hide lol!
Miss Ross
Yep - 2001 to 2004
