Oh....
Absolute cr*p day yesterday. Picked eldest daughter up from school at 12.15 after she hurt her back in dance. School worried for their liability 
Obviously nothing broken due to the history of the injury. Tried to see GP to have him say, "yes, it's a pulled muscle", couldn't get past the receptionist
FOUR flamin' hours in casualty later with no lunch (felt like so ill), and had the doctor say exactly that.
I apologised for wasting his time but couldn't see our GP due to the receptionist, he was lovely, but shouldn't be seeing the likes of us, just the people who need to be there with heart attacks strokes and accidents.

I went to the prefect meal, my 2 arch-enemies (lovely girls they are!) got the head/vice head things, my best friend David made a speech and mentioned me for supporting him, then I had to say goodbye to him cause I probably won't see him again, then...it's not worth going into...I feel really deflated now, and I'm sorry to lumber you with it.

The second session of university exams start on June 13th. Students have to be informed two weeks beforehand of the dates, teaching staff who have to invigilate don't. If we can't invigilate the day we have been appointed to do so we are free to swap but there is no list of who is working when so you have to spend hours on the phone. The list of days when I don't want to work because of family commitments seems to be growing daily. Tonight I thought I would look on the website and at least see when the exams I am likely to invigilate are. I typed in my login and password only to get the message "This is not a student log-in. You are not entitled to see the confidential information requested."
Since when have exam dates been top secret?

I would but classes finished mid-April so I haven't seen any of them for over six weeks. I did e-mail one student but when she tried she didn't get anything either because she has already passed all her exams and these are just the re-sits. The website will only give you the information for the exams you personally have to sit.

What also annoys me is that we have two 12 week semesters with a lot of courses assessed only by continous assessment but somehow we still have an exam session which lasts for 14 weeks and the teaching staff are given less time to mark the papers than the secretaries are to type the marks into the computer.

Not just the dates - the syllabus as well if my attempt to find out which set works the Toulouse Academy are
requiring for the 2008 Bac music option is any thing to go by. After umpteen clicks what seemed to be the right page flashed in front of my eyes for less than a second, then disappeared and I got the message that the web site did not wish to show this page. We can't possibly have students knowing what they are supposed to learn!! FRRRRRUSTRATION!!!!
What a stupid system!! Get a bunch of you up and complain to whoever runs the thing.
Got a group of 'youths' outside kicking their football against our's and next door's wall on the road... again. What I don't understand is why they just can't walk 400m down the road where there is plenty of open space to kick the ball around.
And this also means I can't concentrate on doing any revision.

A bit of an ARGH and combined...my parents are arguing over where we're going to live. We've only got 12 weeks untill we have to move out and as of yet we've got nowhere else even in the pipeline. And on top of that my dad's stressed cause he just got promoted and hasn't been trained in his new job so hasn't really got a clue what he's doing, and as he put it this morning, he "thinks he's losing it".
I miss revising

Had quite a bad day today!!! At the beginning of June a deer decided to cross the M5 in front of my car. My car is now in the garage and has been for 2 weeks and I am driving my husband's car. Well... today, it broke down when I was taking my daughter to school and I had to call out the RAC.
I was supposed to be having a day off but when I got home (eventually after RAC got me back on the road), I had 5 messages on my work mobile I had to deal with.
Then... I had my Grade 5 piano exam and struggled with G major. Whoops. Actually, Grade 5 was better than Grade 4 when I was beside myself with nerves - maybe it was because I ate 3 bananas this time at 20 min intervals before my exam.
Then... when leaving my girl's dancing class, hurrying to get youngest to Violin, I drove into a post and have scrapped and slightly dented husband's car.
ARRRGGGHHHHH
I think I need to open a bottle of wine now. Let's hope my car is mended next week... and then I can get the other car mended!!!!!!

I have been practicing the piano lots today and have had a run through of Santa Lucia with my tutor for next week. Any extra pressure on it makes it hurt for a while. It's going to be a permanent problem, so i'll just have to get on with it.

Yes I did...there's a post on the Forum Surgery thread xxx Apparently I have permanent nerve damage on the high frequency hearing. Am awaiting an MRI scan to find out what's happening.
