Hi, i was just wondering if anyone has any grade 6 theory exam papers they could send me, because i'm currently self teaching myself and need to look at some. Or if anyone can help me find out what the examiners marking criteria for the quetions are, i should be able to mark the answers myself. Thanx

Past Grade 6 theory papers can be purchased from most music sellers at quite reasonable prices. The new edition of "These Music Exams" published this year (free of charge) and also available from music shops that stock ABRSM publications, explains how theory papers are marked. I don't think the new version is yet on-line (it wasn't when I last looked).

You don't say where you're living. If you're outside the UK I suggest you contact your nearest stockest of ABRSM music or e-mail ABRSM publishing and ask them where you can get these items.

If you are able to mark the answers yourself then you must be able to get everything right to start with......

I doubt i can get everything right to start with,,,,,although that would be good if it was possible

now,,,i'm just gonna have to mark my "grade 6 theory workbook" on my own...and hhope i'm not making any major mistakes before my exam.

I think what i meant to say before was,, does anyone have theory exam papers WITH answers so i can get a rough idea of what is expected at Grade 6 theory. It would be great if anyone could send me some. Thnx

Trouble with the first 3 questions is that there is not any one right answer to them.
