Now the sylabus has changed Ive gotta buy all new books...
very few pieces cross over, anyone have advice on which pieces to look at before i have to buy the books?? cool.gif


Must say i love the idea of the Tango and also playing Gerswin but these books dont come in for higher grades....

Rhapsody in Blue for grade 4...how cool!!!!!!!

List A - the Vivaldi Cantabile is nice, as is Purcell's air.

List B - James Rae - Waltz for Emily is good, Gerswhin, Andy Scott.

List C - Puddle Jump!! It's fab!

Nat, just bought all the pieces you suggested so i will let you know....
apparently though i have a problkem with timing which i have to cure now before i go any further, so im going to go backwards a bit to go forwards.

ive not really been keeping time up till now and been winging it a bit...
been playing the entertainer by scott Joslin and thats lovely though!!!

of course i want to try for grade 4 too, but grade 3 first i think...hopefully early next year depending if i crack this timing thing...

any suggestions for keeping time???????????

oh dont worry...Ill only go without food for a few days to pay for them....


Im sure they will be used more than once and i was going to buy the Gershwin stuff anyway cos it sounds great.
