"Happy Sibelius's Birthday!" (I wonder if that's what Schroeder says in the Finnish version of "Peanuts")
Happy birthday Bagpuss!

Awww, thanks everyone. Had a nice day including excellent presents from Willard and a certain jazz pianist. High spot however had to be Hammerklavier wearing my handbag (woolly, purple yak sort of thing)......not as a sporran but on his head.....and yes, he did have other clothes on at the time....
I am TOO OLD for this, just can't take the excitement anymore. Matron says it's all too much for me and I must go to bed with my Horlicks.

Thank you all for your kind words in both this thread and via PM. I had a lovely day - presents included home-made chocolate gingers, books and clothes, and in the evening, Husband and I trekked up to London for a pizza and then Billy Budd at ENO. Can't wait for my next birthday now!
There's some virtual birthday cake left if anyone wants it, but I think it might be a bit stale now.

Forgive me for bumping this thread back to the top, but I have a second celebration today. I have been a member of these forums for one whole year!
Thank you all for putting up with me for the last 365 days, especially some of my more bizarre posts (laundry tips for "Make Poverty History" wristbands, anyone?). You've been a great source of support, I've learnt, I've laughed, I've turned pages, I've even performed in a concert with some of you. What more could a girl ask for from her virtual friends?
