Does anyone know any good cornet solos (grade 7-8 standard)?
Thanks

The Denis Wright Concerto is a lovely piece, but quite devilish to play!

Try Summon the Heroes, the cornet solo at the start sounds amazing

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to look at the Denis Wright Concerto when I can get hold of it - I think that its on the grade 8 syllabus isn't it? Anyone have any idea where I could listen to it on the internet?
Also, if anyone has heard Robert Eaves "Rhapsody for Soprano Cornet", what do you think of it?

The Eaves is for cornet in Eb I think, it's also on the Grade 8 syllabus so probably similarly tricky to the Wright. I don't know much about either to be honest, when I was choosing my grade 8 trumpet pieces I saw the word "cornet" and ran away!
