I've not decided which pieces to do yet, but I do love Hall of the mountain king.

Hope to do GIII in Nov all being well.

I was going to do grade3 violin this year but decided to start viola instead rolleyes.gif
List A
Would have done the Contredanse. The ornaments aren't too hard after a bit.
I liked the Bouree but I thought it was too fast and the staccato bowing was quite hard. We're playing this piece in orchestra at the moment at least im only playing the viola part
The Affetuoso is nice, helps if u count quavers.
List B
The Lullaby is gr8. Definitely would have played this 4 the exam.
I liked In the Hall of Mountain King but we were already playing a different arrangement of it in orchestra.
Didn't like the Trout but my teacher did.
List C
I liked the Blackberry Blossom, I could get it up to speed but couldn't play it smoothly so decided to drop that piece.
Didn't try the Shepherd's Pipe but it looks like a nightmare to count!
Lazy Time is cool but its really hard to play with the piano because the piano part has a totally different rhythm.
I eventually tried America from Making the Grade Grade 3 and its definitely one of my favourite pieces to play. It goes into 2nd and 3rd position but its quite easy 2 get used to.
Sorry if ive rambled on a bit!

Does ne1 u no think that viola players r crazy 1 of my music teachers keeps telling me these strange viola jokes unsure.gif
nutter
i think other people r just jealous that we r so talented there r so many jokes its unbelievable! they're rude 2! 1 of my friends who is a cellist takes great delight in telling me all these jokes its v unfair! smile.gif
Rainbow
Most of those jokes u can use for other instruments. Especially cellos biggrin.gif
nutter
