i've been playing bassoon for a bout a year now, renting a bassoon, until 1 day it suddenly broke sad.gif .

the good news is that they gave me a brand new model, not been used by anyone smile.gif

But when i got it i looked at it, the first thing i noticed was that there was an exyra key on the back of the bottom joint (as well as Eplate, Bb, Ab and F# keys there was one other mystery key?)

later i also dicovered an extra key on the front of the wing joint (the side with the holes)

i don't know the fingering or even the notes for any of these keys, neither does my teacher as she does'nt know how to play the bassoon, just clarinet

The bassoon is a JP 291

please help

One on the back of the boot joint is probally a trill key and the one on the wing joint is most likely a high D key- helps to get the the dizzy heights of high d.
