When does everyone open their Christmas presents? I usually start to open presents from my students late on Christmas eve and presents from family, friends (and my cat) on Christmas Day.

Usually on Christmas Day, although last year, I opened mine on Christmas Eve because I had to go out straight away in the morning!

It's Christmas eve if you are in Europe for Christmas but Christmas Day if you happen to spend Christmas in the UK!

We pretend we live in Europe just for one day!

I open my sack presents from Santa lol in the morning when I wake up with my brother and sister. Then because my cousins always come, mine and their family have breakfast and then open the present under the tree. Then lots of family people come and I open their's before a yummy dinner!

As children we used to get two Christmasses. My grandmother is Danish, so we used to go to her on Christmas Eve for goose and rice pudding, opening presents in the afternoon. On the way home we'd be Santa spotting, and then do it all again with Turkey and Christmas pud on Christmas Day. Best of both worlds!

Well we used to open them at about 10 or 11 before Crimbo dinner, but last year and this year we have to wait until my brother gets home from work (about 4 or 5) before we can open presents or start the turkey

I always end up going out with some of my friends on Christmas Eve (as I don't see them very often not living in the area I grew up in), and my brother goes out with his. We generally get back in about 11.30 or so (to miss the horrendous taxi price increases at 12!) and then we sit with family and we open our presents at midnight. Some people say this spoils Christmas day.................however when you open them drunk, it's like opening them all over again the next mornign as you can't remember what you'd got!!!

We usually open presents from our immediate family (ie parents, sibling) first up christmas morning). We then usually have breakfast and lunch with family. This year we are having breakfast at my place as my grandmother is coming up and I think we are having it with dad's side of the family. We then go and visit my great-grandparents and that (ie people in nursing home), and then this year we are going to my aunt's place. We are having mum's side of the family (i.e, my mum, my dad, me, my sister, my aunt & her husband and their 2 kids, my uncle & his wife and their son, my grandmother (on my mum's side), my step-grandfather). We are also having people from my dad's side of the family going to that i.e my grandmother and partner, grandfather, great grandmother and great grandfather (actually there on my mum's side). We usually open presents from the extended family at these gatherings and give presents to my cousins (I'm the oldest grandchild on both sides and my sister is the second oldest). We come home for tea, and usually by that time everyone is too full to eat anything so we usually sit around and do nothing or sleep it off.

I open mine on Christmas day.
I always ask for what I want, but this year I don't know what I want.

I never ask for anything because I don't have anything that I desperately want! People get really annoyed when they try and buy me something.

Well, I can open it on the 21st and then say it was a birthday present

But naah, that just spoils the fun, so yeah, Christmas Day!
I just couldn't wait when I was small but now it's ok.. I can't remember everything that happens each day anymore, so that's fine
