Goodnight, katyjay. Don't want to be accused of spoiling your singing lesson by keeping you up too late with the sherry!

I've just found the mistletoe thread on the Forums Cafe but I've no-one to kiss sad.gif so I guess I'll just go to bed too *muffled sob*

Awww! Your sandwich lady makes me laugh...
Suepea
Congratulations to all of you - sorry I'm a bit late with the congrats as I've only just found the "new topic notification" lurking amongst a lot of Ebay sales notifications which I was taking off.

I'm coming to the course at Hampton in April - don't know whether I'm looking forward to it or not, having read the terrifying things you have been doing over the last year! Hope there's plenty of fun as well as pentatonic scales etc. dry.gif
Cyrilla
Aw, but Suepea, pentatonic scales ARE fun!!!!!!

Well, I think they're fun...*small voice* sad.gif

Well I think they're fun too, Cyrilla, with the right people ! biggrin.gif

Suepea, I don't think you'll have too much trouble coping with them, looking at your background. I'm confident you'll find Cyrilla a patient and encouraging teacher who will get the best out of anyone with a positive approach.

(And C, I will look out my Grade 4 piano exam certificate so that you can stop saying vaguely "MANY Moons ago..." and making me sound at least 95 ! Probably around 1973.... ohmy.gif )
Cyrilla
Crumbs, Willard, I didn't mean to make you sound 95!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry!

I hasten to point out that the MULTI-TASKING mentioned is OPTIONAL. You, humble readers, must remember that we cats are extremely flexible.....HOWEVER, superior cat as I may be, I promise not to start licking my backside whilst singing/playing next term. Instead I plan to sing the properties of a circle to the given melody "the angle which an arc of a circle subtends at the centre of the circle is twice that which it subtends at any point on the remaining part of the circumference" etc. Yours, slightly deranged by having her fur ruffled all afternoon by Alpha Male Pedigree Long Haired Piano Cat......purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr xx

PS : Willard is not 95; he is lovely as is Mrs Willard and the Baby Willards x

Just in case you thought this thread was dead, I found my grade 4 piano certificate in the New Year tidy-up and it was December 1972. I got 75/100 (odd marking system considering the Grade 1 three years earlier was out of 150 - both Guildhall) which is JUST a Merit. I was thinking of starting a belated "I passed" thread but thought this might throw the Adult Learners Forum into confusion.

Anyway, the point is that if someone like me who only just got a Merit in Piano 33 years ago blink.gif can get a Merit in Cyrilla's course, there is hope for anyone. So I hope Suepea does give it a go.

(I should perhaps explain that Bagpuss teaches the "Baby Willards", who are 12 and 15 (!) Also that Cyrilla has not (yet) mentioned singing circle theorems in the Intermediate Course - but as it starts later today I'll find out ! ohmy.gif
