I don't want to clash with anyone else :-)
Obvious candidates from me would be:
* 2nd or 3rd movement of Beethoven "Pathetique" sonata
* that Corant thingy from the G6 list
* Chopin Prelude in B-minor (also on the G6 list)
* the Bernstein piece from the G7 C-list, depending on whether I can get it ready in time

Well, you've got a few weeks to choose. Clashes will be resolved on a first-come-first-gets basis.
And the form's on the website.....

Ooo, I've just remembered a Bach invention that I did ages ago. Dug out the sheet music the other night and thought it might be ideal. Or it could be a Prelude. I can't remember.

*bump*
Come on, someone else must have an idea of what they're playing!

Well, Deborah and I are doing a clarinet duet - Tango, by Albeniz - and I'm probably playing a clarinet and recorder duet with Noisybassoon, but we haven't decided what to do yet.
For my solo, I shall most likely play the 1st mvt of a clarinet concerto by Molter, but I'm not absolutely sure. I know I'm getting some new music for Christmas, so there might be a piece I'd prefer to do among those.

Have absolutely no idea yet. Probably one of my Grade 1 violin pieces, hopefully a duet with Suepea if she can face doing that again, and my teacher's chosen which piano piece I'll play (but I haven't yet.....)

Not telling... you have to wait and see (hope I get it together well enough and don't have to change it).

I am thinking of playing the andante from Mozart's piano sonata K545.

I'm hoping to have something new worked up in time. Given that the ultimate aim is to play it at the North London, perhaps you folk wouldn't mind being guinea pigs and hearing it in a incomplete state?
Else you're stuck with a Chopin Nocturne I suspect. Maybe some children's corner suite.

I think that if you commit yourself to having your new piece ready for February 18th you will surprise yourself with how complete it will be. Go for it! I hope to be there as a willing guinea pig.

That was my teacher's feeling when we discussed what i should play...

Christian, the concert's in the UK. If you fancied flying over you'd be welcome.....
I don't know if anyone does similar in Canada, but in the US, there's an organisation in DC called something like the "Adult Students Music Forum" which organises concerts for Adult Learners. I had an idea they may have had a branch somewhere like Montreal, but I may be wrong.

Thought this needed bumping to the top again.
It looks as though there'll be quite a few pianists around. If any non-pianist has a simple accompaniment which needs playing, let me know. I can't guarantee to do it, but all requests considered, and assessed on numbers of sharps, flats, semiquavers etc.

I'd be up for a 'simple' string ensemble (quartet) or something if anyone else was interested. I mentioned this in another place but I'm afraid I let it fall by the wayside

I'd be interested in doing a simple string ensemble with you. I can play either violin or viola.
What instrument would you play?
