i'm an adult beginner. i'm trying to learn beethoven 10th var, LA STESSA LA STESSISIMA. I Heard it first from Alfred Brendel. and i liked it. i thought it was cute. however, the 3rd variations is driving me crazy. i can't seem to get it to sound like Brendel's. i have an electric piano. has anyone else tried to play this and had the same problems??? am i biting more than i can chew.

i don't wish to duplicate Brendel's in this. i never will in a million years. he is way too quick...but i was wondering if anyone out there has had any luck come close to it...and is there a special trick involved. funny thing is that when i play the melody in blocked cords it sounds closer to the original than when i play them broker... need some help with playing broken chords that don't sould a telegraphic message...
