Full Version: Bach Partita On Clavichord

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone new if i would be allowed to play the Bach C minor Partita on a Clavichord for my LRSM exam? I have my own and could take that along to the venue. I think it lasts about 14 mins out of the 40 minute recital.

I would then play Beethoven, Brahms and Piazolla on the piano - obviously smile.gif

Thanks

Andrew

I think it would be allowed if you were sitting a harpsichord LRSM - in which case you'd be allowed to some of the programme (a third?) on clavichord or virginal. If you check the diploma regulations, it'd detailed in there smile.gif.

I think it is okay for doing so. smile.gif

will you be providing the examiner with an ear-trumpet too? biggrin.gif

Hats off to you though, clavichords are jolly tough to get singing- and lovely when you can do it. I've met more than one keyboard playing visitor to the Russell Collection who freely admits to being stumped by the clavichords. I hope it is allowable.
