Full Version: Yay! Just Passed Grade 5 Clarinet!

I was really pleased when one of my christmas presents this year was my grade 5 clarinet certificate! My parents had wrapped it up for me to open! I got 128/150, a merit which was good, but TWO MARKS OFF DISTINCTION! sad.gif The best bit was seeing the result i got for the aurals, because i wouldn't sing in my lessons and my teacher wasn't going to put me in, but i ended up getting 16/18! wow!

nope - so i didnt do any grades between 1 and 5!
He started to get really annoyed, so in the end i just agreed to do it, but i hated every minute of it!

Great Result!

I got 127 when I did it in November.

I played Fantasiestucke, Leprechaun and Csardas.

As you say yourself, just TWO marks off distinction. It really isn't that difficult to get 18/18 for aural at grade 5 and IF I was your teacher I would be saying that with a bit of effort in your aural/singing, distinction wouldn't have been out of the question.

I hope you get that extra two marks to that distinction next time!!! Good Luck for future exams!

hehe cool I played 'exclusive' too! I also played 'Fast zu keck' and 'Hornpipe.'
Anyone heard of them?

Fast Zu Keck is good, so is Victorian Kitchen or whatever it's called!!!!! I'm not in work mode until I go back on Thursday!

Hey musicians rock!! what were the pieces like compared to previous grade exam pieces. Because i'm thinking of doing grade 5 clarinet. SO was just wondering how you coped
