Well, for your information, i started just last year on my tenth birthday and im in grade three ryt now

sorry, i was in my sister's account when i wrote that message. it is ME who started last years on my tenth birthday and in learning grade three violin ryt now. SORRY!!!!

I voted for 7-8yo but I actually stopped around 15yo

I've only just started to re-learn again at 32.

i started when i was 10 but stopped at 13 after my failure of grade 4!! jsut started again at 17!

I started learning violin at the age around 12!A little bit late,but better than nothing!

I had a couple of lessons when I was 4 but couldn't get my head round it so I started properly when I was 9

I was 6

I was 28 when I started. Always wanted to in my early 20's but I wasn't sure I could commit to learning another instrument and everyone said that it was hard, and a friend of mine also gave up aftering learning a few years. Maybe that was cos his dad made him.
But anyway have been learning for exactly 2 years now, am in Grade 3, am not regretting and looking forward to finishing up to Grade 8 eventually.

I started learning the violin when I was 7, and I started learning the viola 6 months ago.

not violin but rather viola , I just started! I'm 15

I started violin when I was 8. I quit violin to start viola when I was 14 (a few months ago).

i was 4... had a sixteenth size... didnt really know what i was doing, lol. still don't most of the time!!!

I started 18 months ago when I was 21 - I'm now 23 and doing Grade 6 - I love it and just wished I'd started learning earlier. I wanted to learn when I was 7 but there were no teaching slots left at school.

I was 12 yrs old.
