does sight reading still count as sight reading, when you sight read a piece, then come back to it 6 months later and "sight read" the same piece?

I feel like doing some, but haven't got any "unsightread" music

It does for me - I can't remember a piece a couple of days after I played it, so it would certainly come very fresh after 6 months.

Not really. Once read for the first time, the unconscious brain remembers even though we do not remember consciously.

Have you got a local music library? Or friends learning the same instrument(s) that you could borrow music from or perhaps swap music with for a short time?

I expect Steve's right that you do unconsciously remember something about a piece you have played only once, but it can certainly feel like sight-reading second time around!

Not quite the same thing, but when I come back to something I've practised, especially piano music that I've fingered, I can usually play it pretty reasonably straight away, but it doesn't seem to work for me with all composers.
