Hey,
I ahven't taken an exam with AB before, when do the entry forms have to be submitted for each session, & how much does it cost for grade 5 upwards

Also, are AB exams really early - loads of my friends took their exams in NOvember for the christmas session - hows that??

A related question - I've entered for the Feb / March session. When can I expect to hear from the board with a date for the exam? I need to arrange an accompanist, so need a fair bit of notice.

you only normally get about 2 weeks notice I think.

Eek! That's not good!

Is there any way of finding out earlier?

Not that I'm aware of. Did you request a particular week? There's no guarantee, but if you're looking for accompanists now, and can let them know all the dates it could be (including if you put 'no Saturdays') and what your preference is, they should be prepared to accept the two weeks' notice. Most accompanists who have played for AB exams are aware and used to the late notice and work with it.
