Anyone know anything about this kind of recorder? I've just acquired one over t'internet (though it is yet to arrive). Are they any good?

They're quite good quality starter models. If you continue recorder and really improve, consider the Rottenburgh collection. I acquired an ebony alto today smile.gif she's gonna do me wonders for the future!

Wow, must be hard to get hold of the Tuju now. The Rondo's are great smile.gif

Ooh, it arrived in the post today - seems rather good! Should do for grades 7 and 8...! I'll post back when we've become better acquainted.

IMO, for Grade 7/8 etc, a wood like Rosewood, boxwood, ebony would do more justice smile.gif

I don't think it makes a great deal of difference what you get unless you are going to play more solo concerts etc. I have a nice treble now, but I did my grade 8 on a plastic Yamaha and got a distinction.

Not planning on doing solo concerts! I think either my plastic Yamaha or my newly-acquired Tuju should be OK for the exams (if I take them...)! Thanks for the advice.

Although I have now decided I prefer playing my plastic Yamaha to the Tuju as the latter doth squeak something terrible. Teacher says it needs re-breaking in. I am thinking of investing in a Rottenburgh...
