Does anyone know what the returns policy is for returning cd's from stores such as hmv?It says on the receipt that it accepts exchanges within 21 days if 'purchased in error' or unwelcome gifst or something but they have to be in perfect condition. Does this mean 'unopened'? And what if its not a gift but you just dont like it? Does this apply to sale items ?

(By the way I
would check the site but it keeps crashing my computer) So any help is appreciated...

Sale stuff - no. They were trying to get rid of it in the first place, hence the sale

If the package has been opened then you can't return the CD. The reason is, is that you might have burned the CD onto your computer and you're trying to get your money back which means you would have stolen the CD in a way.

But what if I'm offering to get rid of it by exchanging for something almost double the price?
Noodelz
Jan 5 2006, 06:47 PM
I don't think that it matters whatever the price of it was and what you're exchanging it for. You could try asking them for vouchers.

I'm just worried i won't be able to exchange it...i was on a high today and don't even know why i bought the cd in the first place!

I found it easier to get into than "Is this it" overall, and very enjoyable. The voice of Julian Casablancas is also much more clearly heard on this album (in the other two, he muttered a bit)

Sham = Something false or empty that is purported to be genuine; a spurious imitation
I can't see how any of them apply to Franz.

Depending on where you bought it from I'd imagine it would be possible. I traded my old MP3 player for an iPod at John Lewsi (had to add some extra cash) after it emerged it did not work with Windows XP

Probably..as there is a fault. Couldn';t you just change it for a new mp3?
By the way people, i changed the cd today...the guy didnt even listen for the reason and changed it straight away...Jimmy Eat Worlds album looks fab (and has extra demo cd) but i can't listen to it because all out upstairs electricity things have blown...eeekkk

Hehe, after the worrying. It seems that big companies will usually give you the benefit of the doubt over these kind of things, because it's better for them to lose a small amount of money than being difficult and possibly losing the customer for any repeat purchases.
