I've been trying to find the tempo of the Rondo movement from Mozarts 4th Horn concerto should be.
I've heard so many versions with drastically different tempos. I have no trouble playing it at a faster pace, I personally think it sounds a lot better that way. I'm performing it at an audition and don't want to give the impression that i'm just trying to play fast to get it over and done with. Any Ideas?

Hi Chris! Are you still going down in March? I should be if they can get me on the audition...... although they were meant to do that in August.... Any way, might see you there!

Oh and I think you should play it at whatever speed you feel comfortable - if they comment, then say that.

Heya!
Yeah Monday the 6th March is when my week of fun starts, If they can't get you on that audition then that must mean it's full, thats not good news for me!! I hate competition! blink.gif
Hopefully being a FH player will make it harder for them to refuse me though.....seeing as we are a supposed 'endangered species'!

As for the piece, I've met the professor before I could play the horn. Hopefully getting grade 6 in less than a year will be enough to impress him!
