I wondered if there's any sign of the new Jazz flute syllabus? I haven't been online much as my computer isn't working, I wondered if I had missed anything?

The publications are due out later on this year, including a lovely new Real Book - and the exams will be available in the UK from January 2007.

I'm not very likely to do the exam, but the idea of buying one of the books as a kind of jazz flute syllabus is pretty tempting!

I'm really impatient for the books to come out....

I'm from Ireland too and I wonder when we'll be able to have jazz flute exams in Ireland

I certainly think they'd be worth a look at. I haven't taken any flute exams before, but I have enjoyed jazz piano so much that I might just be tempted!
