Hi!
I do have questions on this Infeld Violin Strings, it is packed in blue cover. Can anyone give me some information on it? Is it better quality than Dominant strings? And may I know roughly the price as compared to Dominant strings?
My student just bought a violin which comes with this Blue Infeld violin strings. But I have never heard of it...
Then, in my package of Dominant strings Thomastik-Infeld, Vienna, I saw the catalog of red and blue Infeld Violin strings, as well as other type of strings from Thomastik-Infeld Vienna as well. What are the difference between them? How come people usually mention Dominant string but not the other ones?
Thank you very much...

The price is very similar. Infeld reds are supposed to be darker and Infeld blues brighter.

I am a fairly unmusical mum! My daughter plays with Infeld red strings. She finds the tone warmer than Dominants. My older daughter has always had Dominant strings on her cello. I guess it is just a matter of choice.

Yes, Infeld Red is meant to have a deep, warm, rich tone and Infeld Blue is meant to have a brighter, louder tone.
I don't think the different types of Thomastik strings are better or worse than each other - it all depends on what sounds best and suits your instrument.
