Anyone know why the avatars won't work? No big deal, just wondered.

Don't think they're enabled - not sure why. You can put a profile picture on but that seems all.

I don't really mind. In some forums avatars make the whole board look kind of messy and seeing as this is a music forum I think its good that its still kind of neat.

Yes, I prefer a nice neat forum, especially with all that extra cleaning up at the end of the day in the AB Platinum Blend Cafe.

Good points - just that I find seeing an image is a more instantaneous way of recognising who is posting (as you get to know the on-line community that is).

I must admit, there are some pretty awful avatars out there. Yeah.....maybe you're right it's better without them thinking of some of the awful one's I've come across!!!

I would like to have uploaded my own very attractive avatar of some beautiful water lillies. Though I rather liked the "pink sea".....

Never mind.

Can't you put it on your profile pic instead?

It's a bad idea. The ABRSM would have to employ a regulatory body to ensure that avatars would be in keeping with the colour scheme and are the right dimensions and not too tacky!

Don't they already employ a regulatory body to monitor our (occasional) bad behaviour? unsure.gif wink.gif
