Frederic Chopin
Just came back from a brilliant concert - Lugansky playing Rach 2 with the Bournemouth Symphony!!! Effortless and very fluid playing. Met him afterwards - seemed to be a reserved, shy chap. Got him to sign a few CDs etc and took a photo or two. Concert hall staff gave me a few of his posters too! Bliss!!! wub.gif

Anybody else met him?

Well, I've heard Rach 2, and I've seen the BSO. Both of which I think are top notch wink.gif

The BSO wub.gif ... Where were they tonight? I'm going to hear Alfred Brendel with the BSO on 23 March biggrin.gif Do you think if I stood outside the stage door afterwards I could get him to sign something...? unsure.gif

The BSO was playing at Colston Hall, Bristol. I'm sure Alfred Brendel would be happy to sign your programme/CD sleeve notes/CD etc. biggrin.gif

The interviews make interesting reading. He practises 4 hours a day, sometimes he doesn't practise at all. Took him 3 days to learn Rach 3 - add 1 day to commit it all to memory! blink.gif
