Hi,

I found this song on the web:
http://www.fenderrhodes.com/audio/Pre-Piano.mp3

I was wondering, does anyone know the name of this song? Or maybe it is just a little section.
Or does anyone know what type or style of song it is. It does sound American. Is it a 60's song?

Thanks.

Are you sure? Anyhow, that is a very aggressive title.

What about this song:

Yes, the first mp3 file IS 'Lady is a Tramp' - it's a jazz standard, made famous by Ella Fitzgerald.

Maybe the 2nd one is just an improvisation? I improv things like that all the time in my practice sessions when I am mucking around - that could be one solution.

Why do you ask about these songs? Did you want to learn the songs? I could write you out a chord chart of both songs if you want... no probs at all. It would only take me two seconds and it at least gives me something new to transcribe. Let me know.

Thank you for your wisdom.

I like the song eWurlitzer1.mp3 and would like to find a song similar to it, so that I can practice the style.
Yes. I would like the chord chart for it, however I would have a hard time trying to play it by ear.

Thanks

OK. here is a run down of the piece:

The LH mainly plays broken octaves throughout. The start of the RH is in 6ths...

so the first chords are (from bottom to top) C(LH) and G+E(RH) k?

Here is a chord chart:

groovy bit
| C Dmin | C/E F(6) | C/G E7/G# | Amin G7 |

floaty bit
| Fmaj7 F6 | F Fmaj(#11, ei B ) | Amin/G G | C/G G7 |

groovy bit again
| C Dmin | C/E F(6) | C/G G | C/F Dmin/F |

floaty again
| C/F Dmin/F | C/F Dmin/F | C/E | Ab(#11, ie D) |

slow down/rit
| Bb | C (*) | C | F/A C/G | F G C (**) ||

(*) the semiquaver descending line is: E F E C G F E C
(**) the ascending line is just notes mixed up from the C arpeggio (C E G)

Hope that helps. If I had my keyboard set up to my computer I would have given you a rough piano score transcription of how I would play it. Anyways, have fun with this!

Sally
