Title and description says it all really...I'm doing an A2 Music recital, European dances for piano, is Turkish March by Mozart (aka March Alla Turca or whatever else it's been called) a dance? It sounds quite dance-like, and if you define a dance as a piece that has a regular structure and a steady pulse then it fits that description.
I'm not sure how I would define a dance, but I definitely wouldn't include anything that was called a march, a piece of music with a steady pulse that fulfils a completely different purpose.
What have you got in your programme so far? Have you explored the Eastern European dances (e.g. Bulgarian) in Bartok's Mikrokosmos? (Apologies to linguistic purists - I know there should be some accents on there.)
Good luck with your recital.
