I tried to upload mine but imageshack wouldn't work

I really need to tidy my desktop, I have 65 icons on it. How do I tidy it up?
Oddball
May 31 2007, 03:04 PM
Delete the ones you don't use! Or just go Right Click > Arrange Desktop Items > Uncheck the Show Desktop Items or whatever it is. And they all disappear

Sweep them under the mat!

You did that to it last time, but it changed all the background and anything...
Can you delete shortcuts? Or will it delete the programme?
Oddball
May 31 2007, 03:08 PM
Noo, deleting shortcuts is fine. You're only deleting that particular way of getting to it: I suppose it's a bit like destroying a road to a town: you might have to go out of your way to get to that town, but the town is still there, and accessible by other roads.

May 31 2007, 03:09 PM
yes.......right click > delete > (a box will appear) delete shortcut.
if it doesnt say delete shortcut, then you can still delete the icon, and access the program through the start menu.
the only way you can delete a program is through add or remove programs

I have loads of pictures on mine because I never no exactly where my home folder is and so don't save them in there.

I had to use bebo again. I consoled myself by using someone else's account.
Due to a technical error, I appear to have accidentally uploaded the file 'screenshot-2.jpg' instead of 'snapshot-2.jpg'.
EDIT: Fixed now.

I seem to have two folders, both called the home folder. I can find them each easily enough but it's annoying when I go to one and find that what I want is in the other by mistake.

My desktop. My sister is always putting pictures of herself as the backgroud. Poser

. So I always change it to something non-offending, like this one at the minute.
