Hi,

I'm a composition graduate from the Royal Academy of Music, currently working as a software tester and part-time visiting music technology teacher at Eton College, and I'm thinking of teaching privately from mid-July this year. Of course, there is no ABRSM examination in music tech, but I think that lessons would benefit students in a variety of ways. They could learn about composition, orchestration, theory, aural and general studio skills and recording technique, and I think it would be a fun way of introducing young people with an interest in music to the skills needed to compose, sequence and realise whatever style of music they are most interested in writing.

What does everyone else think? Is there any interest out there in music tech lessons?

Thanks!

Michael
