Full Version: Frsm Or Music Degree?
Forums > ABRSM > Diplomas

Hi,

I'm currently pursuing LTCL in Singapore. I would like to know more about the Diplomas both under the ABRSM and Trinity board. I was told that the FRSM/FTCL is equivalent to a Music Degree (or Bachelor??). Is it true? Can anyone help by providing more information on this?

And if I've pass the LTCL, can I use the LTCL (as a pre-requisite) to pursue LRSM/FRSM?

Thank you very much. Your info is much appreciated smile.gif

Probably best if you read the ABRSM and Trinity Diploma Syllabi - all your questions will be answered.

FRSM/FTCL is equivalent to the performance component on completion of a full-time postgraduate music course.

In fact the FRSM is quite similar with the Concert Project component of the Royal Academy of Music!

Hi,

Yes, in fact, you can use your LTCL (a substitution) as your pre-requisite to your LRSM but not FRSM. After you have pass your LRSM then you can use it as a pre-requisite to your FRSM. As for FTCL, it's also a substitution of LRSM. Hope these help smile.gif
