Calling all violinists in the Solihull/ South Birmingham/ Warwickshire area! Your local orchestra, Knowle Sinfonia, currently has vacancies for both 1st and 2nd violins. We are a friendly group, who rehearse regularly on Tuesdays at 7.30pm, Arden School, Knowle - this term the programme for a concert on July 3rd includes Mendelssohn's sparkling Italian symphony. Under our inspiring young conductor Martin Leigh we have been involved in a number of exciting ventures recently, including tuition from CBSO players, and a concert in the CBSO centre in Birmingham. We also enjoy regular "curry nights" after rehearsals! Even if you have never played in an orchestra before, or if it's been a long time, do come & try.
